Dear unicyclists and friends of unicycling,
With the new year starting, your Unicon16 organization team is getting even more busy. In this 4th newsletter we have summarized the latest news and important information for you.
We have some good news to tell you: At this point of registration, we already have an all time record of Unicon participants. There have never been as many unicyclists at any Unicon. At this point, we are counting 1.750 registered unicyclists – and we are expecting even more.
In order to give you a first impression of the Unicon16 facilities we made a video in which David Weichenberger, a team member of the organization committee, is introducing the different Unicon16 locations to you: Video
Transfer to the competitions outside of Brixen:
• 21.07.2012 – To the starting point of the 10km race
• 22.07.2012 – To Lajen for Muni XC, Muni Obstacle, Downhill Gliding
• 28.07.2012 – To the cable car that takes you to Plose for Muni Up-down
• 29.07.2012 – To the starting point of the Marathon at Bozen
The bus transfer is free for all Unicon16 participants. In order to provide enough buses, it is important for you to sign up for the bus transport in the online registration form if you would like to use it.

Registration
Please check your registration details again, to make sure there won’t be any bad surprises when you arrive. Please pay special attention to the following:Date of birth:
Please recheck, double check your Birthday in Unicon16-Registration. It is the curial factor for your Age-Group and will be important for Uniocn16-Opening-Ceremony. Your date of birth will be checked in Brixen. A wrong birthday can lead to disqualification.Transfer to the competitions outside of Brixen:

We have noticed that not all participants have written their email address in the registration form. Please check if you email address is registered correctly, so we can contact you directly if needed.Registration Deadline:
We are currently in the last phase of Registration. At 30th of April Online-Registration will close. After the 30th of April 2012 no more changes of your Registration-Data will be possible.Extra T-Shirt:
In case you ordered extra T-Shirts during online registration, you will receive them in Brixen at the registration tables.Limits:
We would like to increase our Limits of Limited Disciplines. Unfortunately IUF still did not approve our proposal jet.Youth Hostels:
For accommodation in youth hostels, it is important to place a reservation until February 29th . After this date, we won’t be able to accept any more reservations. Please send your inquiry to: info@einrad.itCamping
This concerns anyone who is planning to stay in their motor home during Unicon16. Please contact us, if you would like to park your motor home at the parking lot right next to the Unicon area so we can reserve a spot for you. info@einrad.itThe parking lot is very close to the Unicon16 area. Nevertheless, there is neither electricity or water. It is forbidden to barbecue, light an open fire or pitch tents at this parking lot. If you would like to be able to do any of the above, please reserve a spot at a campground. Link
Food:
There are two bars/restaurants at the stadium, which are operated by sports clubs who will offer food and drinks for reasonable prices.Disciplines
12 riders 100km
The 100km race is a great team competition at the last day of Unicon16. During twelve laps of 8km each you can accomplish 100km as a team. During each lap, riders can switch in the stadium. How many riders your team will consist of is still your decision. Please make sure to sign up for this event at your online registration form.Laws:
We would like to tell you about some specialties of the laws in Italy: We know that drunken driving is forbidden all over the world, nevertheless there are especially strong rules in Italy. The car of a drunk driver will be confiscated and auctioned off.Smoking is strictly prohibited in all sports areas. We are asking you to respect this law.
Doping and other illegal substances will result in disqualification from Unicon16!
Dogs are not allowed on Unicon16 areas.
