Muni Cross Country & Obstacle
Event Instruction Cross Country
Spectators:
The cross country course starts on the football field in Laion. The track is a 3.5 km long round course that needs to be done once or twice by the competitors.It is possible to watch the riders along the route at many spots.

Route
The route runs on different surfaces on dirt, forest soil, rocks, grass, wood and some asphalt. Police tape and blue arrows mark the track You can see here the round course and a height profile of the lap. Link
All female competitors do one lap and male competitors 0-14 run one lap too.
Participants older than 15 may take two laps. If one lap is enough, your result will be listed behind all riders that did two rounds.
A wooden ramp leads from the track in the finish area. Do not ride over the ramp to go for your second lap.
The finish of the Cross Country is a big finish banner on the football field..
Walking is only permitted beside the track. If you can not ride a section, you have to walk outside of the tapes to keep the route free for other competitors; the unicycle must be pushed there.
Watch for other competitors on the course. Make space for faster riders and allow them to pass. There should be enough space to pass on the whole Cross Country course.
Chips need to be returned at the finish line.

July 22nd, 9-12:00 in small groups by starting time. Starting time is posted on the info-wall.Rules:

Muni Obstacles
Muni obstacle is a new discipline at the Unicon16.This event will be held in Lajen on a sloping lawn above the football field. On the meadow are several obstacles related to South Tyrol, mountains and farmers.
Obstacles are set in a circular course.
It is a fun competition.
Spectators:
You can see the whole slope from the bottom.A fence marks the course. You can cheer on the riders from outside the fence.
Competitors:
There is a easy and a heavy route.This Discipline will be scored by points for dismounts on sections of the course.
A marshal will follow you on the obstacle course. The points are entered on a scorecard.
You may have a second attempt on obstacles that you can not do on the first attempt. Make sure you do not interfere with other riders.
The track is limited on both sides with a fence.
Touching the fence is a minus point.

July 22nd, 11-17 o’clockfree start time
The simple obstacle course is for all participants 0-14 and all female competitors. Male 15+ go for the difficult course. Competitors who select the the easy course will be ranked behind the difficult course.
